Monday night, Steph and I took a cooking class at John Cabot with an Italian chef. We made bruschetta with fresh tomatoes and basil, homemade gnocchi in meat sauce, orange chicken, and ricotta-chocolate pie. Steph and I made the pie, which turned out amazing. The chef was not a huge fan of us - we apparently used too much flour, added too much chocolate, weren't making the pie pretty enough, etc. While we were cooking the chicken, Steph even asked him how he knew when to flip it and his response was, "You think after 15 years I don't know how to cook chicken?!" hahaha, but we had a good time and sat down for probably the best meal I've had in Rome so far. We're going to try to use the recipes to cook dinner for our room, so we'll see how that goes..
